New Kit Assembly

Note: the latest version is a little bit longer but the instructions are the same.

1. Lay out the parts to get an idea of how they go together. This will keep you from accidentally putting it together wrong. Follow the layout shown above. Recommended glue is CA glue (super glue) or epoxy. Use a liberal amount of glue and wipe excess glue off as out go.

2. Glue the scopes connecting surfaces.
3. Screw together the scope with 2 1″ screws on the top and bottom.
4. Save the clear part for after you paint the bowcaster.
5. Glue the connecting surfaces of the 2 parts shown then screw it together with 2 1/2″ screws.
6. Glue the pegs and connecting surfaces of body parts shown then screw it together with 4 1/2″ screws.
7. Glue the connecting surfaces of butt of the gun and screw it in with 2 1/2″ screws.
8. Glue the spot where the grip attaches.
9. Attach the grip with 2 1″ screws.
10. Glue the barrel together and glue the front on. Secure the middle of the barrel parts with 1/2″ screws.
11. Glue the back of the barrel slide it in place and secure it with a 1/2″ screw.
11b. The newest version comes with screw to secure keep the barrel from bouncing around.
12. Glue the connecting surfaces of the bow slide them together and screw them together with 6 1/2″ screws.
14. Attach the inside ball parts with the hole on the side of the main body. The hole is where the bow string will go. Note you might want to save the ball and string part until after you paint.
16. Make sure the string is tight enough to be straight but not so tight it bends the bow and tie it around the spare bead. Once you are content with the string glue the connecting surfaces of the outside ball and attach it with a 1/2″ screw.
13. Glue the bows connecting surfaces and attach it with a 1/2″ screw.

.

15. String the string through both sides of the ball. Tie a knot around the included bead and tuck it in the hole. NOTE: the newer versions come with thicker string so the bead is not needed. Just tie a knot or 2 on the end of the string.
17. Glue the connecting surfaces where the scope attaches. Then put the scope on and secure it with 2 1/2″ screws on both sides.
18. The latest version comes with metal eyes for a strap. Secure them with the included black screws.

Ready to paint.

The bow is ready to paint.
1. I used a big dry brush and Vallejo paint and used the dry brush technique to paint the bowcaster. Don’t get the brush too wet, and it gives it a cool weathered look.
3. Once its dry glue the clear part on.
2. Verify you got all surfaces and then let it dry.

All Done!
